Where may I perform my Community Service?

Below are the only programs approved for Court-ordered Community Service. You must contact one of these programs to schedule the Community Service hours you are required to fulfill by Slidell City Court.

  • Habitat for Humanity - contact Debbie Crouch at 985-639-0656 - There is a $25 Insurance/Admin Fee Charged per Individual
  • Slidell Public Works Ground Maintenance - contact Rueben Castillo at 985-646-4258

NOTE: Community Service performed with any agency or non-profit not approved by the Court will not count toward your Court-ordered Community Service requirements. Your Probation Officer has no discretion to deviate from the Judge's orders on your probation requirements.

The Office of Juvenile Justice, a department of the Louisiana state government, is responsible for any juvenile who remains under Court supervision or who are ordered by the Court to be put into a custodial facility.

•  Classes meet on Sundays from 8 – 9:30 a.m.
•  This is a 12-week or 26-week program and you must attend all classes in order.
•  The cost is $20 per session.
 
 
Driver Improvement
 
 
Louisiana Driving School

•  Day and Evening Classes available, please call or check website
•  You must register in advance for all classes.
•  The cost is $45 dollars for a four-hour class payable by Cash, Visa, Mastercard.
•  If you are living out of the area, you can attend the National Safety Council Defensive Driver Course DDC-4 only, with prior approval from the Probation Officer.

 
Substance Abuse and Court Ordered Education

•  Contact the Intake Coordinator at 985-288-4701
•  One-time Enrollment Fee is $25.
•  Classes are 1.5 hours per week for 6 weeks, the cost is $30 per class.
•  You must mention that you are on probation with the City Court of Slidell to receive this discounted rate.
•  Financial assistance may be available based on income limits and restrictions.
•  Participants will be subject to random drug screens, the cost is $30 each.
•  The Intake Coordinator will provide all other necessary information.

 
 
STOP (Shoplifting and Theft Offense Prevention)
